Ukrainian National Project” Aerial Express”

Ukraine “Aerial Express” national project is the first major EPC contract project between China and Ukraine.

On 18th April, 2011, in the presence of Premier Mr. Wen Jiabao and the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mr. Azarov, the first phase of the national project “Aerial Express” Contract Regarding Implementation of National Project “Aerial Express”-Construction of International Aiport Boryspil-Kyiv PassengerRailway Connection was signed between CCEC and the project owner State Enterprise Directorate on Construction and Administration of the National Project “Aerial Express” and other Infrastructure Objects of Kyiv Region, the total amount of the contract is 372 million US dollars.

As the general contractor of the project, CCEC is obliged to fulfill the project on turnkey basis. China Export and Import bank provides export buyer’s credit for this project. The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine issues state guarantee for the project financing.

The project realizes the passenger transport connection between Kyiv and International Airport Boryspil. The length of new main line is 4.725km with power, communication, information, signal, water supply and drainage system. Two new stations and one transformer substation will be constructed. The duration of the contract is 36 months.

On 18th April, 2011 , the second phase of the National project “Aerial Express” Contract Regarding Construction of Other Infrastructure Objects of Kyiv Region was signed between CCEC and the Project Owner. This phase of the Project is to build tunnels, ring roads, bridges in Kyiv with contract amount of 2 billion US Dollars.
