SINOMACH Hainan Delegation Visits MadagascarDeepening Blue Economy Cooperation Between Island Nations
Antananarivo,July 28-- Cai Jibo, Chairman of SINOMACH Hainan, accompanied the SINOMACH Group delegation on a visit to Madagascar. During the visit, Chairman Cai engaged extensively in high-level interactions, signed multiple important cooperation agreements, inspected key cooperation projects, and achieved fruitful results.

As a member of the SINOMACH Group delegation, Chairman Cai accompanied Zhang Xiaolun, Chairman of SINOMACH Group, to a series of high-level meetings. They met with Andry Rajoelina, President of the Republic of Madagascar; Rasata Rafaravitafika, Minister of Foreign Affairs; François Sergio Hajarison, Minister of Agriculture and Livestock; Tahian'Ny Avo Razanamahefa, Secretary of State for Food Sovereignty to the Presidency; and Ji Ping, Chinese Ambassador to Madagascar. The discussions focused on concrete pathways to deepen bilateral cooperation.
Witnessed and presided over by Rasata Rafaravitafika,Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairman Cai signed several important framework agreements with senior officials of the Presidency. The agreements cover cooperation in areas such as mechanized agricultural cultivation and industrial poverty alleviation, agricultural product processing, and water resource management. They aim to promote Madagascar's sustainable economic development and improve the welfare of its residents through industrial upgrading and enhanced livelihood infrastructure.
During the visit, Chairman Cai accompanied Qu Dongyu, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, Ji Ping,Chinese Ambassador to Madagascar, and Tahian'Ny Avo Razanamahefa, Secretary of State for Food Sovereignty to the Presidency on an inspection tour of the Mahitsy High-Yield Hybrid Rice Demonstration Base. During the tour and exchange, Director-General Qu Dongyu highly commended SINOMACH Hainan's efforts in promoting agricultural cooperation with Madagascar. He specifically emphasized that SINOMACH Hainan should prioritize advancing the construction of agricultural product processing plants in Madagascar. By enhancing the added value of agricultural products, this would make greater contributions to safeguarding the country's food security and increasing farmers' incomes.

To further promote the implementation of cooperation projects, Chairman Cai also held separate meetings with Elysa Rakotonirina, Private Office of the Presidency of Madagascar, and Lalaina Andrianamelasoa, Minister of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene. They conducted productive communication regarding the specific execution of relevant projects.
