Honiara,April 8---Solomon Islands Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele met with the visiting SINOMACH Hainan delegation at the Prime Minister’s Office in the capital, Honiara. The two sides engaged in in-depth and pragmatic discussions on topics including agricultural land improvement engineering technologies and infrastructure development in rural areas.
Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele warmly welcomed SINOMACH Hainan delegation and highly commended their professionalism and preparatory work. He emphasized the critical role of international partnerships in driving the Solomon Islands’ national development transformation and expressed the government’s openness to responsible and capable partners like SINOMACH Hainan. He highlighted the potential for innovative cooperation in agricultural technology and the blue economy to foster sustainable progress.
During the talks, SINOMACH Hainan delegation shared insights from their field investigations, noting that the Solomon Islands and China’s Hainan Province, both island regions rich in marine resources, share significant similarities in geographical environment, climatic conditions, and developmental needs.
Prior to the meeting with Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele , SINOMACH Hainan delegation had conducted field visits to Malaita Province and other regions. During this visiting, SINOMACH Hainan delegation also held intensive and in-depth working sessions with multiple government departments of the Solomon Islands, engaging in extensive discussions on specific cooperation details and models.
