BEIJING,September 7-- Cai Jibo, the Chairman of Board of SINOMACH Hainan, met with Madagascan President Andry Nirina Rajoelina.

Cai Jibo first expressed his heartfelt gratitude to President Rajoelina and noted that as the regional headquarters of SINOMACH Group in Hainan, SINOMACH Hainan would organically combine the leading advantages of SINOMACH Group in the field of agricultural machinery and equipment with the rich experience of Hainan Free Trade Port in developing the marine blue economy. In Madagascar, SINOMACH Hainan would actively promote the mechanization, modernization, and intelligence of tropical agriculture, assist in the agricultural transformation of Madagascar and the restoration of its status as a rice granary in the Indian Ocean, and facilitate high-level and deep cooperation between Madagascar and China's Hainan Free Trade Port in areas such as island construction and the development of the blue economy.

President Rajoelina stated that Madagascar is currently the third-largest rice producer in Africa, following Nigeria and Egypt. With the support of experienced and reliable Chinese partners like SINOMACH Group, through agricultural modernization, mechanization, and the application of the latest technologies, Madagascar could and would inevitably become a core area for agricultural transformation. SINOMACH Hainan is a significant force in the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port by Sinomach Group. He hoped that Sinomach Hainan would leverage its beneficial experience in developing tropical agriculture, advancing high-standard farmland construction, and infrastructure construction on island regions to help Madagascar become a crucial engine for the development of the blue economy in Africa.

David RALAMBOFIRINGA, Minister of Industrialization and Trade of Madagascar, and Li Kan, Deputy General Manager of Sinomach Hainan also attended the meeting.
