Shanghai,May30-- Mr.Cai Jibo, the Chairman of the Board of Sinomach Hainan, met with Mr.Fernando Mattos,Uruguayan Minister of Livestock, Agriculture, and Fisheries and Mr.Conrado Ferber, President of National Meat Institute of Uruguay. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions on cooperation in Uruguayan grain crops and beef imports.

Mr.Cai Jibo stated that Uruguay is an important grain producer in the world, and China is Uruguay's largest trading partner. The agricultural markets of the two countries are highly complementary, and there is vast opportunity and potential for cooperation in the agricultural sector. Sinomach Hainan has rich experience in agricultural trade and is willing to strengthen cooperation with Uruguay in agricultural trade and other areas.

 Mr.Fernando Mattos highly appreciated the positive contributions made by Sinomach Hainan in promoting agricultural cooperation between China and Uruguay. The Uruguayan government will fully support Sinomach Hainan's meat protein business in Uruguay, and looks forward to achieving more new breakthroughs in China-Uruguay agricultural cooperation with the joint efforts of both sides.

Mr.Marcelo Magnou, the Consul General of Uruguay in Shanghai, Mr.Li Kan, Vice General Manager of Sinomach Hainan, and head of the Department of the NO.3 Engineering and Trade of Sinomach Hainan also participated in the meeting.
