On Oct. 17, the Ground Breaking Ceremony of Lusaka Specialized Hospital to be Constructed by Our Company was held at Lusaka, capital city of Zambia, which was well attended by Zambian President EdgarLungu,Minister of HealthChitalu Chilufya, Minister of Housing and InfrastructureRonald Chitotela, Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Yang Youming,Vice-Manager of CCEC Qu Qingzhu, General Manager of NO.2 Engineering and Trade DepartmentChen Ming, Chongwe DistrictChieftainessNkomeshyaMukamambo II, officials of Zambian government and representatives from Chinese invested enterprises, exceeding 1000 people.

Chen Ming indicated in his speech that the Lusaka Specialized Hospitalconstruction project was a milestone in the development of public health and infrastructure sectors of Zambia, and China National Complete Engineering Corporation was very pleased to be able to contribute to the development of Zambia. The Company acknowledgedobeyingthe administration and supervision of Ministry of Health and Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure, complying with the local laws and regulations, completing the construction with high standard and high quality, and fulfilling social responsibilities actively.

Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Yang Youmingattended the Ground Breaking Ceremony

Firstly, Ambassador Yang Youmingexpressedwarm congratulations to the ground breaking of the Lusaka Specialized Hospital construction project. He said that the successful launch of this project symbolized a milestone achievement in the health sector of Zambia. Ambassador Yang Youming indicated that after Lusaka Specialized Hospitalwas completed and put into operation, the medical resources condition of Zambia would be improved, and the medical treatment challenge confronted by Lusaka and even the whole Zambia would be relieved. Meanwhile, it would attract more high-end professional medical staff to work here, raise the public health level of Zambia, and provide solid guarantee to the economic and social development of Zambia.

President Edgar Lungu believed that the completion of Lusaka Specialized Hospital would raise the local medical service level to a significant scale. He said soundinfrastructure facility played an important role in facilitatingsustainable economic and social development, and after the Patriotic Front was elected as ruling party since 2011, it had been focusing on developing infrastructure facility, facilitating economic transition, and realizing its commitment to the people. Lungu expressed that Petauke and Chinsali general hospitals and Lusaka Specialized Hospital projects were very timely which wereconsistent with the policy of adopting strong measures to improve the medical level of the country by the Zambian government.

President Lunguexpressed hisappreciation to the Chinese government and China National Complete Engineering Corporation for assisting with settling the loan agreement for the hospital projects, which demonstrated the profound friendship between China and Zambia. He also wished that these hospital construction projects could be completed with guaranteed quality in time, and encouraged people to unite together and create a better Zambia.

Afterwards, President Lungu and the guests cut ribbons for the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the hospital, and laid bricks for the project as per the traditions of Zambia.
